Elegant Garden Wedding
How Elegant is this Gorgeous Garden Wedding?
This Sweet Couple followed their dream and actually got married in Big Sur, CA.
When they got back to their Hometown in the Cozy New England Corner of the world they had a wedding reception for their family and friends to celebrate their marriage. And what a celebration it was. Their family threw them a Beautiful Backyard BBQ with gardens, games, speeches, dancing, dinner, and of course cake! Anyone can tell how loving and supportive their family and friends are of their vows to love each other and start a new life together.
I felt privileged to be a part of their Special Day and wish them all the happiness they deserve in their future to come.

I just had to share this action shot I captured of the Groom’s nephew playing wiffle ball in the gardens. Too Cool!
Twilight Portraits
Can you tell the last half of the wedding portraits were taken after Sunset and into Dusk? Twilight Portraits are a fun genre of wedding and portrait photography. Typically great portraits are taken during the Golden Hour which is an hour before sunset. Then comes Sunset, Twilight, Dusk, and Night. After the sunsets there is still enough light during Twilight to capture really cool photos. Then comes Dusk and then Night where if you have a pretty good flash system you can still get great portraits even in the dark believe it or not. Also the Moon is still letting off a good amount of light which is why everyone loves taking photos of the moon.

Scituate Wedding
I photographed this stunningly beautiful wedding in the Massachusetts’ Seacoast Town of Scituate for Josi Photo. I love working with other photographers and gaining their artistic insight and learning from their photographic knowledge and experience. It’s always so much fun to talk shop and take an interest in others in the same field as you. As artists and professionals we all have something different to bring to the table and I love seeing another professional’s take on photography. This particular photographer has a special gift for lighting up the night with her evening wedding portraits. Check out her website for a peak at her work.
This particular wedding started off with the ceremony set outdoors in a beautiful gazebo. Wedding portraits were taken in the exquisite gardens and then we headed indoors for an outdoor themed reception with a birch tree wedding cake and nautical themed decor. Can you tell how much I loved all the floral details. I had fun with the dark romantic mood of the first dance and the documentary feel of these black & whites. We ended the evening with a fun yet tasteful cake cutting ceremony. It’s always such a delightful feeling to have captured the first moments and memories of a loving couples dream day.
Rustic Country Wedding
This gorgeous evening wedding took place in an outdoor country setting with a beautiful rustic theme. Earlier in the day we had so much fun capturing the First Look at beautiful Harkness Park mansion and barn here in Connecticut. The ceremony was in a sweet little historical church and I love the documentary effect these black and white church photos created for a perfect wedding gallery. We were able to capture some great sunset portraits after the ceremony at this little forest-side gazebo next door. The reception had a small barn tastefully decorated with twinkle lights and antique accents for it’s backdrop. Guests enjoyed toasting s’mores over the cozy country bonfire. To top off the charming country character of this evening, family and friends danced in the heart of the lovingly manicured flower gardens overlooking the glistening pond. This wedding was particularly sentimental because these Highschool Sweethearts were off on an adventure as the groom is enrolled in the Army as a Lieutenant and the bride is off to start her career as a Veterinarian Technician. After the wedding they will travel to Virginia and then Alabama, temporarily leaving their New England roots behind. Knowing that I am responsible for creating one of a kind artwork of this adorable couple for family and friends to cherish forever fills my heart with joy.
Upbeat Contemporary Wedding
Set in the Downtown New London Waterfront of Connecticut this wedding was designed with a contemporary beach theme in mind. The turquoise and black lanterns mixed with orange and white flowers set the perfect romantic evening around this fun-loving couple’s special night. However, at the end of the day this wedding was all about FUN! They were more excited about their guests having fun, then their formal portraits. They managed to make time for romantic piano portraits and urban styled outdoor photos before everyone danced the night away. They also helped me embrace an appreciation for the true art of documentary photography. I loved catering these wedding photos to the special couple, the family, their friends, and all of their personalities combined. Photographing according to the energy of the crowd personalized the wedding gallery for this bride and groom. I was privileged to witness such an energizing evening with loving family and friends supporting and honoring these newlyweds.
